ATL Live on the Park’s 1 Year Anniversary

NEXT-stage3

Last night, event producers Shanti Das and Marlon Nichols along with over 300 Atlanta tastemakers and music industry insiders celebrated the One-Year Anniversary of ATL LIVE ON THE PARK, the most exclusive live music showcase in the city.

The host with the most Kenny Burns kept the mood lively and R&B trio NEXT reunited to headline the show, while author/musician Fonzworth Bentley wowed the crowd with a vibrant performance and old-school Atlanta dance choreography.  Newly signed JIVE Records duo Big Heed & Alien introduced their new rowdy hip-hop/rock style to the surprisingly receptive crowd.

Attendees such as Chaka Zulu (Disturbing Tha Peace/Ludacris), Ronnie Devoe (New Edition), Devyne Stephens, Q Parker (112), Roger Bobb (Tyler Perry Studios), Sheree Whitfield and Peter Thomas (Real Houswives of Atlanta), footballers Bob Whitfield and Jamal Anderson, Tameka Raymond, footballers and Faune Watkins (Fonzworth Bentley’s wife) sang along as NEXT performed their classics “Wifey” and “Too Close.” They then invited Parker, Devoe and other legends in the audience to give us a taste of their classics! What makes ATL Live so unique is that there are just as many celebrities in the audience as there are on the stage and you never know who may hop up on stage and give an impromptu yet memorable performance!

The next ATL LIVE ON THE PARK is June 14, 2011. Visit http://atlliveonthepark.eventbrite.com for tickets and info. All pictures and exclusive access courtesy of James Pray and The 135th Street Agency.
