It’s no doubt that Trauma’s calm spirit has much to do with why he’s so in-demand here in the US, but also internationally, oh yes, you can BElieve Trauma’s passport stays getting stamped. INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO THE READERS & GIVE SOME BACKGROUND ON WHAT YOU DO?
My name is DJ Trauma and I am from New York. I came to Atlanta for college to attend CAU. I made a name for myself on the local club scene in Atlanta and then began my career in radio at HOT 107.9 WHAT. I remained there for 11 years. I started traveling internationally in 2000 when I did the “1st Friday’s” in Bermuda…That is when I caught the bug for DJ’ing oversees. Since then, I have been on tour with Monica, Ciara, Sean Garrett and traveled overseas as far as Australia and Kazakhstan

I have DJ’ed parties for the likes of Diddy, Jay-Z, Ludacris, T.I., Young Jeezy, Lil Wayne, Usher, Keri Hilson and more. I have traveled on tour with Monica, Ciara, and Sean Garrett. Every artist is different. Each are focused, driven, and love what they do which make the experience intense and fun at the same time. I have also started doing remixes with both American and International artists. I have work with African super stars like D’Banj, Banky W, El Dee, alongside Yung Joc and Verse Simmonds. I am going to Malaysia this month to work with one of their superstars Mizz Nina.
YOU’RE WHAT WE CALL A “PASSPORT PRODUCER/DJ”; HOW’D YOU ACQUIRE SUCH AN INTERNATIONAL BUZZ?
It started in Atlanta when I was the working the hottest clubs…People started to inquire about me coming to their country. When traveling, I always brought a ton of mixtapes. I have also made relationships with radio stations in other countries as well. The internet is definitely a great tool.
WHAT PROJECTS ARE YOU CURRENTLY INVOLVED IN?
I am the Executive Producer of the Anoop Desai’s Zero.0 Album. I am also hosting the Verse Simmonds New Mix tape and managing producers called the Beat Knockas.

Music is becoming more international and regional at the same time. More artists are trying to reach the masses internationally and larger artists are reaching audiences. Different countries are now forming their own music scene in relation to having their own music, music videos, radio stations, etc…
