2012 Fashion Cares about Susan G. Komen & AidAtlanta

As the lights dimmed over the city, Atlanta’s fashion insiders removed their cameras from the chargers, prepared followers of twitter & instagram for the influx of social media updates, as well as forged a sense of excitement for a great cause. Each year, the city of Atlanta opens its heart and wallets as Jeffrey Kalinsky host Fashion Cares Atlanta to benefit Susan G. Komen & Aid Atlanta. Last night numerous accomplishments to add to the long list of progress JFC as contributed to its cause, for one; Lila Hertz received a heartfelt acknowledgement from Jeffrey and committee members for her unyielding devotion to JFC for the last 10 years; JFC – Atl celebrated it’s 20th year anniversary; the talented and CFDA Award winner, Joseph Altazurra presented as the guest designer; this also marked another year of great financial love poured into the hopes and lives of those battling Cancer and/or HIV & Aids.

Patrons of JFC came out with no holds bar on their fashion game last night. From the numerous ‘RedBottoms’ & 6in stilettos, polished tuxedos, diamonds & costume jewels to the endless auction bids, I could express the fun that was had in the midst, even a dancing Flash Mob entertained us.  As the show began, I noticed Marlo Hampton dressed for the “Gods” in Chanel, Cynthia Bailey & Peter Thomas, Nyssa Green, E Vincent Martinez, Warren Huntley, Patrick T. Cooper, Lila Hertz, Don Purcell, Randi Layne, & host of sponsors and supporters.

Here’s a glimpse at last night’s amazing event & runway show: {Jeffrey’s Fall/Winter Collection including looks from high-end designers such as Lanvin, Celine, Prada, Marni, Dries Van Noten, Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Bottega Veneta, Jason Wu and Alexander Wang.}
