2015-09-02 12.19.09

The 23rd annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares descended upon Phipps Plaza last night in a grand fashion. The sold-out show founded by New York and Atlanta retailer Jeffrey Kalinsky once again BEnefited Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta and the Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF).

The event had approximately 800 guests in attendance. Jeffrey was delighted to BE back at Phipps, calling it home, which is fitting since he celebrated the 25th anniversary of Jeffrey Atlanta | New York BEing at Phipps the evening BEfore during a private soiree at his store that featured cocktails, mini hotdogs and sliders courtesy of Dennis Dean – A Catering Co., a surprise performance by singer Theresa Hightower singing “Home” for from The Whiz and more.

The official kick-off to the fall social season, this year, Kalinsky once again joined Event Chairs Lila Hertz, Jeffrey McQuithy and Louise Sams in producing one of the most exciting events to date.  Highlights included a private Platinum Reception for VIP patrons in Tiffany’s where guests were treated to delicious bites from Dennis Dean – A Catering Co., prosecco, white wine and more. The high-energy cocktail hour featured Moscow Mules, BEer, champagne and more where guests mixed and mingled and bid on silent auction items. Both the live and silent auctions were at their peak this year. A sampling of 2015 silent auction items include:  Dior sunglasses; a black leather Marc Jacobs collection handbag; an Aurélie Bidermann Gold Nympheas Necklace; a tri-colored Marni shoulder bag; a multi-tone metallic Roger Vivier clutch; and a stainless steel watch women’s watch from The Tiffany Grand Collection featuring fifty four round diamonds weighing approximately .16 carat total weight.  Madison James from B98.5 and Kaitlyn Pratt from WAGA Fox 5 Atlanta surprised guests during the live auction and hit the runway for a cause. The duo showcased jewelry and more in an effort to help raise as much funds as possible for the BEneficiaries.  Live auction items included a luxe ski trip, a “Breakfast at Tiffany Auction Package” for four guests in the jeweler’s famous Fifth Avenue store, and a trip to New York City and exclusive experience with Vogue including round trip airfare for the winner and guest, a
two-night stay at a chic hotel selected by Vogue, two tickets to a fashion week event during New York Fashion Week
and lunch with a Vogue Market Stylist.

The runway show featured high-end designers including Dries van Noten, Celine, JW Anderson, Mira Mikati, Chrisitan Dior, Proenza Schouler, Saint Laurent Paris, Mary Katranzou, Narciso Rodriguez, Loewe, Delpozo, Roland Mouret, Alexander McQueen, Junya Wantanabi, Simone Rocha, Stella McCartney, Ashish, Marc Jacobs, Givenchy, and Urdem. From military, to sequins, to inspiration from the decades of the 70s and the 90s, this year’s show encompassed an array of trends. For this fall outerwear is key. Parkas, capes, bomber jackets, biker jackets, furs, shearlings, and doubleface cashmere caban should all be on your radar. Put those leggings away, BEcause another big trend is the wide-leg pant.  Either cropped and cuffed, or long and full, there’s no BEtter way to look long and lean than by throwing on a chic, wide-leg trouser with a high-heel. Dress those wide-legs down with a sequin tank top or up with a sequin blazer, BEcause it’s going to be a sparkly seasonAdditionally, the military trend is still going strong, including: flight jackets, army jackets, and camouflage. While heels are always in style, the platform pump has come back to give you that extra boost of height and comfort.  Following the event, fashionable attendees kept the celebration going and headed to Yebo Restaurant & Bar for the official after party.

Last year’s sold-out event raised $700,000 for Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta and the Atlanta AIDS Fund (AAF), and in its history, Jeffrey Fashion Cares has grown into one of the largest combined AIDS and breast cancer BEnefits in the country.
