White Oak Kitchen and Cocktails, located in the heart of downtown Atlanta at first glance is certainly an eye catching location. White Oak Kitchen and Cocktails is owned and operated by husband and wife team Cindy and Alan LeBlanc who also own and operate Max Lagers Wood Fire Grill and Brewery a few doors down. The WOKC kitchen is ran by Executive Chef Tim Magee who make’s it his goal is to organically source his menu items from local farms throughout the state of Georgia. As you look at the menu, you BEgin to notice the numbers next to the different sections. Chef Magee felt this would allow the customers an easy transition while ordering. 1 is starters, 2 is Salads and 3 is your entree’s. The certainly BElieve in offering a white variety of cocktails and wines that pair perfectly with the items they serve.

The menu changes seasonally and offers a wide and incredibly flavorful variety of farm fresh items from the Duck to the Venison, from the Shrimp to the BEef cheeks you are sure to find something to satisfy your pallet. The staff of WOKC first grabs your attention with the lumberjack uniforms they were, then they greet you with the most welcoming smiles and makes you feel comfortable while sharing their vast knowledge of not only the menu, but the perfect combinations for each and every item you may choose.

Our menu for the evening, which was highly recommended by out amazing server Matt included BEignets which were prepared with Rock Shrimp and Chive and served with a tangy White BarBEcue Sauce. Next we had Pork BElly which was served with Country Mustard, and Green Tomato Relish. Next we were served dinner which included Duck served with a spiced Sorghum Glaze, Sweet Potato Terrine and Roasted Baby Carrots. Venison which was served with Turnips and Their Greens, Marbled Potato and a Balsamic Molasses.
The hand selected specialty cocktails that were suggested were “ROSE COLORED GLASSES ” made with Cathead Honeysuckle Vodka, W.O.K.C. Lavender Liqueur, Pink Peppercorns and Sparkling Rosé. Next their was “WHO’S GOT THE MOONSHINE” made with Troy & Sons Platinum Heirloom Moonshine, Cointreau, W.O.K.C. Sour Mix, Agave Nectar.

The experience of WOKC is one of extreme Knowledge and nurturing from The staff, the chef, the ambiance and most of all the food. I strongly advise anyone to try it out. With a menu that offers so much, you are bound to find something that is sure to BEcome a favorite.
