Maurice Jones has BEen inspired in many different ways; two major sources are his grandmother, and his mother. He wants to share his story BEhind the evolution of his clothing company Fatt Pockets.
“I was spoiled growing up, so I always had nice clothes,” Jones recalls. “I love clothes, and clothes will never go out of style.” Jones made the choice to try his hand at the fashion industry in 2004, and has not turned his back since. It started off with him dressing different from everyone else, then he created a name and his first design. He shared it with his coworkers, who gave him mixed reviews. Some liked the name of his line, while others loved the designs.
Two months later, everything dissolved, but Jones started back designing in 2011, this time with a different twist. He BEgan designing shirts and hats, and a local radio host named FLACO and his younger brother, TK from TK-N-CASH, BEgan wearing them. The rest is history.
Fatt Pockets will BE debuting new merchandise like evening wear, swimwear and shoes. Jones also wants us to BE on the lookout for the debut of Fatt Pocket’s first lady, Shante Parker.
