Andréa M. Bowman

I am a 25-year old licensed Zumba Fitness instructor from Waldorf, MD.  Since November 2013 I have BEen teaching Zumba classes at various locations, including 2 World Gyms, multiple Kaiser Permanente Medical Centers and summer camps.  After getting my B.S. in Management from Salisbury University in 2012, my life took a change.  My love for Zumba BEgan in early 2013 after attending a few classes with my mother.  Since then I have BEen hooked and have a passion to spread the Zumba love.  I strive to make my classes fun and exciting!  The Latin-inspired workout incorporates cardio and toning which ensures a full-body experience.  I appreciate the opportunity to introduce people of all ages and abilities to a great fitness program they can look forward to, ultimately improving their health, well-BEing and quality of life.  My focus is not solely the fitness portion, but getting healthy as well.  I make sure I educate all of my students so that they understand that BEing healthy is a lifestyle, not just something you do. My favorite motto is: “Let’s Get Healthy!”

Laurine Onza,

I was born in the Philippines and immigrated to the U.S in 1991 at the age of 9.  I attended elementary, middle school, high school and nursing school in Washington D.C then moved to Falls Church, VA. In 2001. My Zumba journey BEgan in 2005, I was a member of a local gym but never used my membership.  I have never heard of Zumba and so I had no expectations.  I made my way to the gym studio and there were about  10 people, the music started and just after one song I was hooked.  After one year of taking the class,  I decided to start teaching Zumba BEcause it has helped me in so many ways, physically and mentally.  It has helped me get back in shape after having my son, and I am counting on it to the same thing for my current pregnancy.  Zumba has raised my self -esteem and my energy level,  it has also brought health awareness and encouraged healthy eating habits.   The biggest reward from Zumba is hearing positive results/experiences from my students. I always say that Zumba changes lives one booty shake at time.
