#BEscene: Media Tastings with Atlanta’s Menu Fixer Chef Jaaion


A handful of executive press gathered at Atlanta’s popular Midtown eatery Einstein’s as Chef Jaaion Barnes unveiled their new upcoming spring menu. As memBers of the media entered the private tasting, they were treated to refreshing cocktails as they looked on and snapped photos of select dishes from the new menu, BEfore BEing served family style samples of each plate.


Chef Jaaion (a proud New Orleans native) proudly welcomed memBErs of the press, as he explained his role as the menu “fixer”, BEfore detailing each amazing dish on the new spring menu, which of course has BEautiful hints of bayou based cuisine. New menu items consisted of:

Seared Scallops w/ Bacon Scampi Sauce/Fig Preserves/Black Caviar

Filet Au Poivre  w/ Asparagus/Smoked Gouda Mac&Cheese/Whiskey Peppercorn Cream Sauce

Fried Lobster Platter w/ Lobster/Shrimp/Garlic Butter Truffle Fries

Roasted Cordon Bleu Ashley Chicken w/ Swiss Cheese/Prosciutto/Spinach/Mash

Asian Buttered Trout w/ Quinoa/Asian Butter Sauce

Petite Lamb Chops w/ Pesto/Curried Fingerling Potatoes

Tuna Tower w/ Ahi Tuna/Rice/Mangos/Avocados/Sweet Chili Sauce/ Mango Puree

Crispy Asian Salad w/ Shredded Cabbage/Jicamas/Shrimp/Soy Glaze/Crispy Wontons

Argula & Portobello Salad w/ Diced Tomatoes/Onions/Sherry Vinaigrette


Media maven Ebony Steele & Detroit Recording Artist Deleanta were also on hand to help celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style with the official unveiling of Einstein’s new spring menu items, along with an amazing array of food bloggers, journalists, and industry tastemakers. Chef Jaaion also introduced the press to Einstein’s Executive Chef Rey Pineda & General Manager Dustin Holder.

Chef Jaaion Barnes, aka “The Menu Fixer” hosted a private Media & Tastemakers gathering at Arif Lounge, allowing some of ATL’s BEloved press & VIP’s the chance to sample a few items off of Arif’s spring menu. The night kicked off with Chef Jaaion welcoming his hand-picked guest list of 20 influencers, while toasting over a couple of bottles of Ciroc.


As the night inched on, guests which included a slew of bloggers, journalists, media personalities, fellow chefs, and industry elite, got the chance to sample specially prepared menu items like Black Angus Filet Mignon Sliders on a Mini Pretzel Bun/Garlic Truffle Fries/Sriracha Aioli, Herb Poached Salmon with Herb Infused Olive Oil/Broccoli/Brown Rice/Chardonnay Cream Sauce, & Georgia Shrimp & Grits with Jumbo Shrimp/Fried Grit Patties/Sauteed Spinach/Moscato Cream Sauce. Chef Jaaion also showcased a table spread presentation of other menu items including Southern Fried CalamariCreamy Chicken & Asparagus Pasta, & Curried Lamb Chops.
