Rapper Big Bank Black may BE on the recent rise to fame, but is no big secret to the streets of Atlanta. Black’s grind session has well superseded his celebrity status, and anyone that knows Black can guarantee that he prefers it that way. But with all good things, light eventually makes it’s way near and shines brightly upon the next to blow…so speaks volumes for DTE’s CEO Big Bank Black.
Black is the perfect combo of street and business man, owning Duct Tape Entertainment, where he houses up & coming acts like Alley Boy who is gearing up to drop album in 2010 under DTE/Atlantic.
Big Bank Black is currently also grinding the studio sessions out anticipating his 1st studio album Big Bank Black: Alter Ego, which he looks forward to dropping in Fall of 2010, but he isn’t wasting any time in between now and his release. He’s working his single “Try It Out” featuring one of BE Magazine’s favorite ladies & Real Housewives of Atlanta’s newest cast member Kandi Burrus. The single is currently #32 on Billboard, and continues to skyrocket all the way to the top; you also have to admit that you can’t help but to get a lil loose when you hear his joint in the club.
Big Bank Black took some time out of his busy work and travel schedule to chop it up with BE Entertained Magazine so we could get the real scoop on the man BE-hind the music & we weren’t surprised to discover that Black is as real as it gets. “The streets” that he wants to reach out to and provide refuge for through his music means more than the mere club scene or party platform that we’re used to hearing about on the radio; Black is here for the real street riders, the ones that are heavy out there struggling yet grinding daily to feed families, provide money, and just stay freshly afloat.
When Black isn’t in the studio fostering his and the DTE rosters’ talent, he can be found in the streets of the A, humbly giving back to the very place that created the musical BEast known as Big Bank Black…the Maserati Rider!!!
