A couple months ago, Akron, OH rap group Da Kennel breezed through the ATL doing heavy promo for all they have going on. The fellas EXCLUSIVELY invited BE Magazine out to their tour bus to get the inside scoop. Da Kennel’s grind might actually BE unparelleled. These fellas keep making major moves to put on for their city. They recently dropped a mixtape with Gangsta Grillz called Hood II Hood, & were also selected as an MTVU Freshman…

Second chances are far and few for many artists in this ever changing and quite fickle industry, but that’s simply not the case for pop/rockstar Fefe Dobson. Fefe hit the entertainment ground running in 2003 with her self-titled debut album, delivering hit singles “Take Me Away”, “Bye Bye Boyfriend”, “Everything”, & “Don’t Go (Boys and Girls)” which led her to BEing a part of mega-tours opening up for superstars like Justin TimBErlake & Janet Jackson; but three short-lived years later, Fefe seemed to BE watching her dreams vanish in front of her very eyes. Do REAL rockers really ever crumble & fall? Not if you have the Fefe mentality…

Rodney Perry is more than a funny man! Born in Chicago, Illinois; raised in Monroe, Louisiana, Rodney spent a great deal of time out in Los Angeles where he was cast for a role in the film; “The Informant” alongside Matt Damon. You may have seen him on BET’s Comic View alongside comedians Steve Harvey, George Lopez, and Cedric the Entertainer. He has come a long way from telling jokes at the end of class and practicing on friends and family while in the military. Now you can see him every weeknight as co-host to the BEautiful Ms. Mo’Nique on “The Mo’Nique Show”…

R&B group One Chance seemed to explode onto the scene in 2006 with their hit song “Look At Her”, and after attaching themselves to Usher Raymond & US Records, seemed to BE actually living up to their name. In this industry, you usually get one chance to prove you can make it, and these Chicago bred singers definitely appeared to BE on the right road…

Miguel has BEen under the BE Magazine radar since we first saw him perform in Atlanta for ATL Live on the Park, and since then we’ve met and talked with him lots while he’s BEen on his debut journey. Miguel is definitely the million dollar man, scoring lots of notoriety on his first album and touring the world with heavy hitting superstars like Usher, Mary J Blige, and Trey Songz. Miguel has no plans of stopping anytime soon, so we had to follow up with him to see what’s next on his plate.

Quiness Parker!!! We all know him as “Q” from the platinum R&B quartet, 112!! 112 hit the scene in 1995 under the hip hop mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs, of Bad Boy Records. 112 delivered several mega-hits, such as “Peaches and Cream”, “Its Over Now”, “Cupid”, “Come See Me” and continued to top the charts with countless others. Although 112 was a huge success, the group demised in 2005 after the release of their fifth album, “Pleasure and Pain”. Some say the group got caught in the wrath of what is known as the “Bad Boy Curse”.

Although, only 22 when speaking to Que you immediately feel the maturity and growth of the artist we were first introduced to in 2007 on the MTV hit show Making the Band 4. On the show many might have viewed Que as the “reBEl” or the one always in altercations with the others, but if you looked deeper you might have seen him as the one who had a lot to say, but was never heard…all in all, he was pretty misunderstood. And just like anyone as strong-minded as Qwanell, you will do what it takes to BE heard.
