The countdown to the 2nd annual Georgia Peach Fashion Week (GPFW) has BEgun with less than 1 week away from the most highly anticipated Fashion Week to ever hit the Southeast. GPFW will take place April 6-9 at the Infinite Energy Center (Gwinnett Center), 6400 Sugarloaf Pkwy. Duluth, GA 30097. Attendees can expect a week full of fashion, entertainment, vendors, and fun for the whole family. Georgia Peach Fashion Week remains innovative in the world of fashion as they are happy to announce the addition of “My Different is Beautiful” Youth Day and Curves of all Seasons La’Curve Couture days to the schedule .
On April 6th, Georgia Peach Fashion Week (GPFW) will kick off the week with an exciting youth event hosted by T-Rep that is guaranteed to raise the eyebrows of not only the fashionably inclined, but the youth and their families. With the theme “My Different is BEautiful!”, GPFW collaborates with TWIN OF A KIND® Foundation (TOAK), 501c3, to bring this community event to life. Twin of A Kind plans to celebrate the idea of fashion from a youth’s perspective, reflecting on common values such as self-confidence, acceptance, and love. The goal of “My Different is BEautiful!” is aimed to help youth ages 5 – 24, both male and female, to feel bEtter about themselves through a day of pampering, empowerment, fashion and entertainment. This will BE a fun-filled day for kids of all ages featuring designs from Kimmani Kouture and Neriah Hairen Collection with guest speakers Robin Dyke (Bravo’s Mother Funders), Mrs. Georgia, and Kimmani Kouture as well as red carpet host Miss Georgia. The show will include a Mommy/Daddy & Me Walk off where you will surely BE Entertained by the talent coming from the parents and their children.
On April 7th Nelson PR Productions proudly presents La’Curve Couture – “Curves of all Season” hosted by actor, dancer, and choreographer Darrin Henson (Soul Food, Stomp the Yard). La’Curve Couture is all about turning the plus size/curvy woman into a fashion icon in her own right. This highly anticipated fashion show will BE putting plus size/curvy designers and brands in the forefront and on a global platform to elevate the plus size/curvy customer on a level equal to that of the aesthetic and cache of other fashion shows. La’Curve Couture will feature designs from Rieces Pieces, So Anxious Clothing, Kami Shade, and Drip Swimwear.
On April 8th, GPFW will celebrate the survivors of domestic violence with a night of fashion hosted by Ramona Rizzo of VH1’s Mob Wives and Patricia Thompson of WE Tv’s Cutting it in the ATL. GPFW will pay tribute to the Alma G. Davis Foundation and their efforts to “Educate, Empower and Celebrate survivors of domestic violence and help them achieve economic and self-sufficiency”
April 9th is the closing night of Georgia Peach Fashion Week hosted by Michael McFadden. GPFW will close out the season with designs by Allure Kids, featured designer RAW Artist, and much more. This is a night full of surprises and amazing performances along with announcing the Top Models of the Year.
