Over the weekend, hundreds of Atlanta’s most charitable fashion lovers gathered at Studio Kitchen Event Space & Ikonic Dance Studio in support of our 5th annual No Wire Hangers BEnefit Fashion Show (#NWH5) hosted by two of our longtime & die hard supporters Actress/Singer Demetria McKinney & #C4AC’s Creator, the always stylish Mr. Clay West. This year’s high end street wear #TraffiControl theme was a major success showcasing a unique designers collective runway show featuring seven of ATL’s cutting edge designers including Carlos Wayne, Kings Clothing, The Real C Mar, the debut of Q Maurice by Super Dope Closet Q, Planet Jag, Los Langelo, & Dus by Deon, modeled by Georgia State University’s amazingly talented modeling troupe Panthers Allure and a few of our favorite handpicked models. #NWH5 Charity Fashion Show was the finale event of our 6th Year Anniversary Weekend, and we couldn’t BE more appreciative, grateful, and proud of everyone who came out, not only to support us in our continued growth, & the brilliant designers, but to also show amazing support for this year’s BEneficiary, The DiaBEtes Association of Atlanta, to help them raise awareness during NovemBEr, National DiaBEtes Month.
Along with an abundance of love from our loyal readers, & the families of the BE Team, additional special attendees included the DiaBEtes Association of Atlanta’s Carole Johnson Davis, Jasmine Mosely, Karla Davis, & LaShonda HuBErt, BE Entertained Magazine’s Co-Creator Brian Houston, singer/former BE Cover Girl Dondria Nicole, actor/singer/model Mishon, industry elite hairstylist Terrence Davidson, celebrity designers Raphael Cox & Reco Chapple, model JoVan Cook, the Voice’s Vedo the Singer, Kontrol Magazine/REVEL by JL owner Julian Lark, singers Tyrice “Gym Shoes” Lee, Tarvoria,& Antonio Ramsey, Author/Motivational Life Coach Latisha Robb, KKP Media Group radio show hosts Kidd Dupree & Kenya Kardashian, celebrity stylists Carter James of The New Indie & Styled by Tino, with surprise celebrity models, our current Cover Girl Ms Bo Talley, & VH1’s Atlanta Ex’s Christina Johnson, who both closed the show elegantly strutting catwalk draped in Dus by Deon’s The Devil Wears Prada themed collection. Adding to the street wear theme, famed & BEloved TWERK extraordinaire/choreographer Mooney (@Mooney645) & his Dancing Divas performed edgy dance routines throughout the show adding the perfect stylish urban flare, while DJ B Easy (@BEasy_theDJ) provided the soundtrack for the night.
Keeping true to our No Wire Hangers tradition, we kicked off the event with an exclusive VIP Reception for our special guests, which included a red carpet experience hosted by our special friend & rising model Ethan Michael, up close and personal time with our BEautiful & gracious host Demetria McKinney & her family (her son & her mom…who also happened to design Demetria’s look for the evening), unlimited complimentary Exclusiv Vodka cocktails, and a chance to mingle around and get familiar with our amazing vendors & brand supporters The Pink Zebra Boutique, It’s A Man’s World’s Men of Distinction, Boutique Vixen Hair, Voguish Chic Boutique, Klean Collar, & Cricket Wireless. VIP Guests were also given special gift bags containing gifts of love from the DiaBEtes Association of Atlanta. Author Latisha Robb, Signature Sipz, Clique by Roble, Miss Jessie’s, CURLS, Bare Body Collection, IMPROV Comedy Club, Pile New York, & Dr. Miracles.
