The Grady Health Foundation, along with Delta Airlines (and a bunch of other prominent sponsors including Georgia Power and V103), hosted Travel In Pink last night, a BEnefit to raise much needed funds for the Avon Foundation Comprehensive Breast Center at Grady Hospital. Grammy-Award Winning Estelle headlined the show, with Atlanta based rock group South 70 hitting the stage to warm the crowd up.
The BEnefit, held at the Delta Air Transport Heritage Museum, Hangar 2 at Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport, actually had a Delta Airplane inside serving as the museum; pretty FLY huh? There was even a Twitter Lounge showing ongoing tweets using the #TravelInPink Hashtag. This was one amazing event with lots of elegant food, free spirits (powered be Belvedere Vodka), charity giving, and awesome guests. Travel In Pink was attended by Rashan Ali, Frank Ski, Lisa Borders, Julius “Dr. Jay” Erving, Cri$tyle, and a gang of corporate movers and shakers. With an event this amazing, I hope the silent auction raised all the money the planners intended, what BEtter cause to give to?
