Tasteful, masculine, sexy, perfection, timeless, MAN!! Are the words that come to mind whenever I see a Giorgio Armani garment either in print, on racks, or the backs of the confident man as he takes his scroll through the crowds of onlookers. For decades, Mr. Armani has done nothing short of deliver effortless menswear collections that allows even the man that hates shop to gain an appreciation for well made clothes. The Giorgio Armani S/S ’13 menswear collection was full of grey, navy, and dark tones – never once saddening my interpretation of the anticipated consumer.
This season, Mr. Armani stayed true to his easy elegance & masculine sophistication through the use of wrinkled lines which seemed as a man staple or favorite item. The sportsmanship of the collection was evident in the pleated trousers and longer than normal jackets. All though the models carried “my favorite” murse or man purse (lol) and wore shorts with gingham long sleeve shirts, the look was still effortless and classic. It seems as though designers want to bring back one trend that I don’t really care for and that’s the double-breasted blazer. Well at least for a man with my slim build, it doesn’t look so sexy, but I digress, not everyone is cut like a African athlete.
