With energy, attitude and a magnetic presence, few debut artists will make an impression quite like Gloss Da Boss, an Atlanta native who is known to spit a mean 16 on one track and belt out a celebratory anthem on another, all the while strutting her stuff in 5-inch Louboutins. Since she was a kid, the exotic beauty had a love for all things shiny, which included lip gloss, hence her stage name. At the tender age of 21, the Rapper/Singer/Songwriter and Businesswoman has grasped the key aspect of success- personal branding. With a lip gloss and clothing line in the works, as well as film, TV and on-line projects lined up, it makes sense that she is also known as the Global Mogul. Gloss Da Boss is on a mission of world domination.
Growing up in the suburbs of the South with heavy East coast roots (her parents were born and raised in Harlem), the sassy, yet always lady-like fashion plate combines the inspiration of both cultures into everything she does. Her music is Hip-Hop, Pop, Rock and R&B-inspired, an organic blend of who she is as an all-encompassing artist. “My music is fun, energetic and inspiring but at the same time it has a hard edge. Being able to creatively express and explore these different sides of my personality is an amazing experience because as I continue to evolve, so does my sound.”
Her imaginative songwriting skills is just one of the many qualities that have attracted some of the industry’s most sought-after artists and producers to co-sign her talent. From Waka Flocka Flame, Gorilla Zoe and OJ Da Juiceman, to Zaytoven, Don Cannon and Fat Boi, Gloss Da Boss is building and creating relationships that illustrate how her passion for Hip-Hop is cut from the finest cloth. “As a new artist, it’s been amazing to collaborate with some of the best visionaries in the game and to be embraced by them is truly humbling.”
