I love when Latisha Robb (Author/Life Coach) gets all riled up about what God puts in her heart! Her passion is one truly derived from life experience & her genuine love for her Black Community. Last night, Robb hosted the 2nd installment of The Raw Onion, a heavy hitting panel discussion BEtween community/industry experts Chris Jones, Bossman Q Reeves, Chris Coles, Christine White, Ernestine Johnson, & Nathaniel Dyer (if you’r unfamiliar with any of these names, Google & Social Media have to take up a large portion of your day today). This month’s Raw Onion was appropriately held at Atlanta’s historical Martin Luther King Jr Center, where there were lots of comparisons to the MLK Center BEing a blessing as the venue and the direct parallel with the recurring need for the civil changes that Dr. King Jr. was willing to go shed blood, sweat, & tears…or even lose his life for.
The Raw Onion pt 2 kicked off with Black Community Enthusiast Jay Johnson addressing the eager & attentive crowd about his slated upcoming sit down with President Barack Obama later this month, and his plights & public disdain due to BEing regarded as an official “leader:, yet he bolts a distinct determination to BE an unapologetic serious voice & active leader in the Community; he also discussed his participation & role with the thriving Black Lives Matter campaign…by any means necessary. Johnson was followed up with a panel planning discussion/session on what needs to take place to bring about our mandatory changes across the US, but starting in right here in Georgia. Audience attendees also chimed in, giving their informative input about building (and following) a strategic plan of action, and giving insight into the unjust & one-sided tactics that certain Georgia counties like Cobb (and a gang of others) blatantly push for & impose upon a distinct target audience.
The Raw Onion pt 2 was also attended by the notable “Able” Mable Thomas (Atlanta House of Representatives, District 56), Rea Melissa (Journalist, AllHipHop.com), Eldridge Washington (M.A.D.E. Movement/Community Activist), Jason “J.Write” Dinsmore (BE Magazine/QuenteSential Branding/The Candy Shop Radio), Que Jackson (QuenteSential Branding/BE Magazine), and a host of other rising leaders, community supporters, press, and fed up black THINKERS & MOVERS, all ambitious about SERIOUSLY strategizing to bring about immediate necessary justice, equality, ACCOUNTABILITY, & peace.
Stay tuned to @Latisha_Robb on Twitter/IG for updates on the next installment of The Raw Onion,
