One Thurd: Oh yeah, we in here man. Shout outs to Mizay Ent. & shouts to the Mac (Macon, Georgia) that’s where’s we’re from, so gotta show love. Shout out to Atlanta, GA too…thanks for showing us much love.
BE Magazine: Waka seems to BE the glue that holds this whole Mizay foundation together; how’d y’all get with Waka & Mizay?
One Thurd: Our performances actually; we were in Atlanta. We had done a lot of shows in Macon, and had come to Atlanta and started doing features shows for Travis Porter and opening up shows for a few others. People really started hearing about our shows. Our sows led to word of mouth & people that were actually in the crowd, which led us to some guys names Jesse & Timothy Scott [stops to shout them out], that was our real connect to them. But really hard work and grinding…getting up, going and performing; especially out of our area BEcause we had our city on lock [shouts out Macon again]. We came to Atlanta to get our exposure, and do it in the right way BEcause nobody has the energy that One Thurd has; we’re original. Once people started hearing about that, it got around town, and Waka heard about it & was like “mama, get em…”
BE Magazine: So, how long have y’all BEen rocking together as a group?
One Thurd: Oh, it’s going on four years…and going strong. We BEen family even BEfore the group. We all BEen doing music all of our lives, but we just wasn’t doing it together at first. We all started off solo.
