#NYFW WHIT Spring 2013 Collection

So I went to the WHIT Pre-Fashion Week Presentation and let me just say the colors gave me life!!! Instead of having the ladies walk the catwalk, they were lined up (presentation style) so we could really study the garments. I really loved the tropical theme and her line was in tune with a tropical escape.

WHIT’s Spring 2013 line was in fact inspired by a personal tropical escape.

Designer Whitney Pozgay BEgan designing the collection on her recent honeymoon in St. Lucia. With no phone or email, Whitney reconnected with nature and was reminded of the importance of unplugging. Going from beach to beach in a pink fishing boat, she and her husband explores the Island. Whitney wanted to hold onto that feeling as she returned to the city and injected the breezy mood into downtown friendly silhouettes. The resulting collection is heavily influenced by island flora mixed with cabana stripes and clean shapes. The line features tropical brights, sporty details and campy prints including a Banana Leaf print created by artist Jemme Aldridge. The WhiT Collection was born in 2010.
