Every year NYFW presenters have to find new ways to stand out and grab great media attention. I have to admit there where several amazing, different and fab runway concepts this season. Check out some of my favorites!
The models walked in a circular pathway imitating the famous Giant Dipper roller coaster. In addition to the light from above, the runway was scattered with standing neon florescent lights of various colors perched on concrete blocks. These neon lights cast the perfect eerie glow.
The show was held at the Lexington Avenue Armory, where he suspended a giant orb on the ceiling to act as the sun. He sent each look out twice; first under the sepia sun, then the house lights were turned up, and the models were sent out for a second time. The first time around, the details of the collection were difficult to make out, but once the lights came on, viewers could appreciate the sequin and fur detail of the collection.
Show-goers stepped off the elevator and were transported into a barren winter wonderland complete with snow and pine trees. Male models decked out in Thom Browne suits were positioned on iron beds throughout the venue, only adding to the drama of the show.
