Que tha Future – After It All…

After It All….

“When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways.”

-1 Corinthians 13:11 was the first quote that came to my mind after interviewing Qwanell “Que” Mosley former memBEr of Day 26.

Although, only 22 when speaking to Que you immediately feel the maturity and growth of the artist we were first introduced to in 2007 on the MTV hit show Making the Band 4. On the show many might have viewed Que as the “reBEl” or the one always in altercations with the others, but if you looked deeper you might have seen him as the one who had a lot to say, but was never heard…all in all, he was pretty misunderstood. And just like anyone as strong-minded as Qwanell, you will do what it takes to BE heard.

BEfore Making the Band/Early Que:

Que has always BEen a lover of the arts. Que, graduate of SOTA High School, grew up loving and perfecting his craft. Not only in singing, but also in theatre and dance. He let us in on a little secret or what many did not know. He is trained in technical dance and not just hip-hop. He has taken the modern classes and as he says, “know a little something something”. Other than dance he also did many theatre productions from “Willy Wonka”, to “The Wiz”, “Ragtime”, and “All Night Strut”. After High school he Attended Five Towns College where he studied Business and Audio Engineering. However, during his time there, he was afforded another opportunity. That opportunity was Making the Band 4. Making the Band for Que was a journey to say the least. A lot was learned and a lot of growing was done, but the real question is…where is he now?

After it all:

Years after Making the Band/Day26, Que is happier than ever. It is no need to say he is back BEcause he never left but he is however more mature and has seemed to have found himself. Que is doing what he loves and is doing it his way. In groups you find many artists not being able to fully establish themselves and with that you will find what use to be the highlight of their life BEcomes no longer fun. When it comes to Day26, he wishes nothing bad on anyone but he continues to keep his space. He just enjoys life and keeps family and friends close. They keep him on his toes and are always honest.

Que is currently working on an acoustic unplugged project that will be taken place in Washington, DC. The project will give you an up close and personal view of Que’s music and life. The project will include songs from “QFiles” and the newest Mixtape “Guitar Her”. Seeming to BE on the right track, BE Magazine looks forward to seeing what is next for the artist.

In the BEginning of the interview we did a fun fact icebreaker with Que, so here is a little more about him…Something I call fun facts:
