Callula Lillibelle – real, affordable, stylish. This is the mantra of the business-impresario Melanie Fraser and couturier William Calvert’s collection, which premiered February 2010. Fast forward to 2011 and the Lincoln Center for Mercedes-Benz Fall/Winter 2011 is playing host to their newest pieces. Lillibelle is the ultimate ‘desk to dinner’ label, speaking to the contemporary woman who equally values alluring silhouettes, sleek versatility, and uncompromised quality and tailored to real women sizes 0-14.

With just hours to Valentine’s Day, Romas Couture presented their Fall/Winter 2011 collection. If the line could be summed up in one word, it would BE dazzling. Designer Linda Rowe Thomas should also BE especially commended for her courage under “fire”. Her dedication and determination to her craft in spite of daunting circumstances and the loss of a sister most certainly bleeds out in her creativity and design.

On Sunday night just BEfore Valentine’s Day, Designer Dawn Han of the fashion line Eggcream premiered her Fall/Winter 2011 collection. The collection was full of ready to wear women’s clothing reminding viewers why black and grey are sexier than ever.

Libertine presented their fashion line in an with very brilliant color scheme. Designer Johnson Hartig, with Maryam Malakpour (style), Maida Voina (casting), Noah Hatton and Cutler Salons (hair), Lottie and MAKE UP FOR EVER (make up), Farmer Davey Scher (Music), and Deborah Hughes (front of house) ought to be commended for their hard work and awesome presentation.

Fashion icon Byron Lars and his Beauty Mark line dubbed his fall 2011 collection “Native Americana” and his models and fashions certainly lived up to the hype. But this should BE no surprise – we featured the designer and his “Style Suite” fashions during Fashion Night Out and Spring/Summer 2011 fashion week in September 2010. In fact, Mr. Lars has been doing his thing for two decades now – often noted for his out-of-the-box thinking and craftsmanship.

#iHeartNY: Silvio Liu Fall/Winter 2011 Fashion Show

During our exploration through Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, we have encountered many amazing designs and collections. The Silvio Liu Fall/Winter 2011 collection featured such uniquely inspired style choices such as pleated silk taffeta bustier with gunmetal nail-head tacking on silk organza skirt, one shoulder wool jersey color blocked dress with diagonal seaming, plaid wool bolero with zip front with patent sleeves, and water repellant scuba neoprene storm jacket with applique patch pockets with drawstrings at the hem and waist. Luckily, these were all not incorporated into the same outfit!

#iHeartNY: Perry Ellis Fall/Winter 2011 Fashion Show

With his Fall/Winter 2011 fashion line, Perry Ellis demonstrated why his has been a marquee name in the name of fashion for quite some time. The tent at the Lincoln Center where his fashions were displayed was packed to capacity with eager onlookers.
