The Open Book Foundation is a 501c3 Non-profit organization that was created to serve as a bridge BEtween Title I elementary schools and literacy efficiency. We complete this mission by purchasing and donating books to Title I elementary schools across the country. In our short existence launching in 2013, we have BEen fortunate to purchase and donate over 17,000 new books to 850 classrooms across the country. In doing so we strive to instill hope and emphasize the importance of investing into the future leaders of our society. While we all know that teaching our youth has to BE a combined effort in and out of school, we are focusing on creating programs and opportunities that allow parents, teachers, administrators, and our youth to BE engaged through informal programs.
This year our 2015 goal is to purchase and donate 20,000 new books to Title I (low-income) elementary schools across the country. By purchasing and donating books we reinvest in our communities. Reading is “The Single Most Important” essential we can offer our youth. Through our book purchase partner every $3 donation can purchase a new book for a deserving scholar.
