The Purpose of Forgiveness: The Conclusion

unnamed

As we conclude “The Purpose of Forgiveness” series, it is important to understand how to forgive when the apology never comes. It is a part of life that not everyone will have the courage and maturity to accept forgiveness. The same can BE said when one is asking for forgiveness.

Let’s BE honest, asking and accepting forgiveness can BE  a hard pill to swallow; however, it is necessary as you continue your journey. Your purpose is not to forgive for the person who hurt you. Your purpose is to forgive for the sake of your peace, both internally and externally.

Internal peace simply means that your heart is healed and your spirit is free. External peace is you’re still able to smile, remain diligent in your quest for self-acceptance, and move forward in love.
