Cameron Thomaz is on his grind! You may know him BEtter by his stage name, Wiz Khalifa, as he is certainly no stranger to the music business! The young 23 year old rapper first hit the scene in 2005 with his mixtape titled, Prince of the City: Welcome to Pistolvania, which later led to album release in 2006 entitled, Show and Prove. With a mixtape and album under his BElt, Wiz signed to Warner Brother Records in 2007, in which he released two more mixtapes that same year, Grow Season and Prince of the City 2, followed by two more in 2008, Star Power and Flight School. Wow!! His Debut single off of Warner Brothers, Say Yeah even debuted at numBEr 25 on the Billboard charts. Although Wiz Khalifa was experiencing all this success from his well received mixtapes, he was on the laBEl for two years anticipating the release of his album, First Flight, which was never released.
Wiz parted ways with Warner Brothers in 2009. However, he did not let this set back stop him. He has a passion for what he does, and he had a dream to fulfill. He made it his destiny to see it through! Wiz went on to continue to work with Rostrum Records putting out a numBEr of more mixtapes as well as opening up for different acts like U-God from the Wu-Tang Clan. In July of 2010, Wiz confirmed that he was signing a deal with Atlantic Records. Wiz launched his own tour called, Waken Baken Tour, in SeptemBEr of 2010. With all these accomplishments, you may wonder what’s next for the young rapper!
Well he is far from over! Wiz has already released a numBEr one hit this year, entitled Black and Yellow, which represents the Steelers as well as his hometown, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania!
